ThinkPad Tablet2とTF810Cインプレ

●近況
手持ちのタブレットPCがWindows8製品版でタッチが有効にならず(プレビュー版で使えていたタッチが製品版で使えなくなるという…)、10月末にポチッたThinkPad Tablet2は全然納品されず、次に良さそうなTF810Cはずっと売り切れで、Latitude 10はBTOで数週間待ちと、まともに動くWindows8PCが入手できず、しばらくなーんにもする気になりませんでした。

TF810Cの在庫復活を見て我慢できずポチると、一週間後にThinkPad Tablet2が納品されてくるという間の悪さ・・・

取りあえずWinTab関係再開しましたが、見通しは厳しい感じ(後日書きます)。

そんなわけでTF810CとThinkPad Tablet2のインプレです。

●ASUS TF810C
気に入らない点(主にハードウェアスイッチ関連)
・電源スイッチが筐体から飛び出していて、電源スイッチ側を下に置いて勝手に立ち上がったり、持ち替える時間違って触ってしまいスリープさせてしまう
・Windowsボタンがタッチ式で、ペンを動かす時意図せずスタート画面を開いてしまう
・画面の明るさ調整が敏感でやりにくい(個体差かもしれません)
・画面回転停止がハードウェアボタンにない

良い所
・ケースが同梱
・画面が広い
・公式にWinTabを開発されているという噂なので、もしClover Trail唯一のWinTab対応機になったら化けるかも

●ThinkPad Tablet2 36794DJ
限定でない正式出荷版(発注から4カ月かかりました)
キャンセルすることもできたけど、前述の理由で810が今一つ気に入っていなかったのでそのまま購入(はい馬鹿です)
・軽くていい(個人的に10ンチ級タブレットは600g以下であって欲しい)
・縦画面で無理なく画面中央に親指が届き、胸の上に置いての寝モバが捗る
・ペンが内蔵できるのは便利

悪い所
・保護フィルムを貼ったためか、TF810C(こっちは保護フィルム貼らず)よりほんの少しタッチ感度が低い気がする?(感度高い方が好き)
・ケースが別売
・画面が狭い

●TF810C、ThinkPad Tablet2共通
軽いアプリならほとんどストレス無く使えます。
裏で何か動作していると流石にかなり重くなり、ウルトラブックと同等の使い心地ではありませんが、その分発熱は抑えられていて、部分的に熱を持つ所もあるものの不快感を感じることはありません(手で支えることも多いタブレットとしては重要)。
両方ともペンは画面縁ではかなりずれます(軽量化の影響なのかデジタイザはX61t世代より劣化してるのではないかと思えてくる)。
現段階でWinTabがなく(個人的にはあまり痛くない)、コントロールパネルでの筆圧調整やペンボタンへの機能割り当てができません(普段使うノートアプリは筆圧調整機能とボタン割り当て機能が無いので、かなり痛い)。
せめてタブレットのプロパティはないとワコム機を選んだ甲斐が無いというものです。

●ARMタブレットと互角だと思う所
譜代使いのバッテリー駆動時間、レスポンス、サイズ、重量(ARMタブはやたらに高解像度化しなければ本当はもっと軽く作れるんでしょうが)
モダンIEの使い勝手(Windows8 DP時点では優位にあったけど4.XでAndroidが巻き返した印象)
机に置いてソフトキーボード+タッチタイプによる文章入力

●ARMタブレットより使いやすい所
Flashの使い勝手(AndroidのFlashは無理やり感が)
ソフトキーボード+親指での文章入力(ARMタブレットは親指タイプの事をあまり考えていないように思われます)

●ARMタブレットより使いにくいと思う所
駆動時間は互角だがスタンバイ持続時間はARMブレットより短い短い様子(毎日短時間ずつ使い時々充電という使い方では充電周期が短くなると予想)
タッチ対応アプリはストアの使い勝手を含めてARMタブレットとは比較にならず
特にゲームではARMが圧勝的?(ほとんどしないのでよくわかりませんが)

ペイントツールSaiでN-trigの筆圧感知を有効にする方法を見つけた

Atom Z540だとペンの動作が遅れて送られてくる事があって、実用は厳しそう。

タッチガードSai+Wacomドライバ対応版

X220TにWindows8を入れてみてWacomドライバーを探したところ、EP121まとめにあったWacomドライバーが使えるが、Sai+WacomドライバーではTGuardが機能していないことを確認しました(クリスタではとりあえず動作している様子)。

自力だけでは到底対処できなかったと思いますが、昔SaiがTabletPCに正式対応していなかった頃に使われていた方式(Sai専用WinTab32.DLLを作って、その中でワコム製WinTab32.DLLを呼び出す)で対処することができました。

TGuard.exe Ver0.4

●概要

TGuard.exeは穴の開いたウィンドウを、ペンに追従して移動させる事で、不要なタッチを排除します。

以前のバージョンではマウスカーソルを追跡対象としていたため、WinTabをマウスカーソルと独立して使用しているアプリケーション(PaintTool Sai)で正常に動作しませんでしたが、このバージョンでは動作すると思います。

●注意

・メトロアプリには効果がありません。

・untouch.exeより、ペンをホバーさせている間のCPU負荷が増加しています。

・Windows7でも動作しますが、7でタッチをOFFしたい場合にはTM2controlがお勧めです。

・環境によっては素早いペンストロークを取りこぼすことがあるようです。

●使い方

・Saiで使用する場合、アーカイブに含まれているWinTab32.DLLを、Sai.exeのあるフォルダーにコピーしてください。

・起動すると、タスクトレイの中に入り、タッチOFFします。

・タスクトレイのアイコンを左クリックすると、タッチON/OFFを切り替えます。

・タスクトレイのアイコンを右クリックすると、設定ダイアログが開きます。

・設定ダイアログは、タッチで操作できます。

・穴の大きさ(5-500pix)

・ペン移動の停止から、穴を閉じる遅れ時間(60-1500ms)

・Cursor Position Monitor On/Off(ペンイベントの喪失が多い場合に使用してみてください)

・Saveボタンを押すと設定が保存され、次回起動時に自動的に読み込みます。

タッチ停止プログラム(TGuard)更新

環境によってはペン位置のマウスシステムへの伝達が遅れることがあり、ウィンドウの穴あけが間に合わず素早いストロークを時々取りこぼすようです。小手先の対策で発生頻度を下げたつもりですが、根本的対策にはスキルが足りません。皆さんの所で起きてなければよいのですが。
RawInputControlTestに対応したつもり。

untouch(ワコムWinTabアプリ向けタッチOFFアプリ)更新

これまでの経緯と変更目的
1.お手軽仕様でメッセージフック方式のタッチOffプログラムuntouchを作ってみる(ワコム機、WinTabアプリでテスト)
2.TabletPC API使用アプリでタッチが切れないことがあると判明
3.ちょっと力を入れて、どの機種でも動作しそうなマスクウィンドウ方式のタッチOFFアプリTGuardを作る

ワコムデジタイザ使用PCでWinTab APIアプリしか使わないならメッセージフック方式のuntouchでもタッチOFF出来るので、TGuardで取り入れたコマンドラインパラメータでの制御手段をuntouchの方にもつけておきます(タスクトレイに入れる等のUI変更はしていません)。

●untouchとTGuardの違い
PhotoShopやPaintTool Saiで筆圧が有効な機種の方 -> untouch
TabletPC APIを使うアプリケーションには効果がありませんが、あまり負荷が増えません

ペンホバリング状態の負荷がuntouchより高い(一般的にホバリング中はCPUに余裕があり動作が重くなることはないと思いますが、バッテリー駆動時間等に影響が出るかもしれません)ですがTabletPC APIを使うアプリケーションにも効果があります
ペンさばきが非常に速い場合等に調整が必要になる場合があります(設定ダイアログのスライダーで調整可能)

Pen pressure disable on PhotoShop or Paint Tool Sai -> TGuard.
.TGuard has an effect on WinTab and TabletPC API applicaitons.But TGuard increase the load when pen hovering.(Usually, There is a ample surplus of the CPU,during pen hovering. But it may affect the battery time, etc..)
.If the pen is very fast, there is a need for adjustment.(Adjustable in the settings dialog slider).
